Ten Area Soccer Players To Continue Playing In College

Lance McGrane (Holy Redeemer) - Michigan State (NCAA Division 1 - Big Ten)

Perhaps one of the finest goalkeepers our area has ever seen, McGrane can do it all. He made 112 saves and kept 6 clean sheets this past season. The 2020 All-State goalkeeper also scored 2 goals and had 3 assists.


Sebastian Price (Berwick) - University of Findlay (NCAA Division 2, Great Midwest Athletic Conference)


Price, a first team all star for the Bulldogs this past season, scored half of the team’s goals during the year. The University of Findlay, a Division 2 college in western Ohio, is a 7 hour drive from Northeastern Pennsylvania.



Grace Wolsieffer (Holy Redeemer) - St. John Fischer College (NCAA Division 3, Empire 8)


Wolsieffer, a first team all star from the Lady Royals’ soccer team, played a major role as a defender this past season. She also led the team with 7 assists.


Claudia Carver (Dallas) - Marywood University (NCAA Division 3 - Atlantic East)

Carver, a second team all star out of Dallas High School, had a very successful career with the Lady Mounts. Winning the district champion three times, while also finishing atop WVC Division 1 three times.


Emily Ouimet (Berwick) - California University of Pennsylvania (NCAA Division 2 - PSAC)

Tied for 1st with clean sheets this past season, Ouimet cemented herself as one of the league’s best goalkeepers. She also took home our “WVC Girl’s Goalkeeper of the Year” award.



Sydney Kruszka (Wyoming Area) - East Stroudsburg University (NCAA Division 2 - PSAC)

Kruszka, another one of the stellar goalkeepers in the league, made an impressive 98 saves for the Lady Warriors’ last year. She also plays club soccer for Northeast Cantolao Attack FC.


Owen Henry (Delaware Valley) - Misericordia University (NCAA Division 3 - MAC Freedom)

Henry was selected to the 2020 All-Region Boy’s soccer team this past fall. For the Warriors, he scored 7 goals during the 2020 season.

Olivia Leo (Dunmore) - Fisher College (NAIA - Independent)

Leo, finished the past season with 89 saves for Lady Bucks, and was third in the league with 8 clean sheets. She was selected to the 2020 All-Region Girl’s soccer team, and won our “LIAA Girl’s Goalkeeper of the Year” award.



Luke Johns (Wyoming Seminary) - King’s College (NCAA Division 3 - Middle Atlantic Conference)

Johns, finished 2nd in the Wyoming Valley Conference with goals scored this past year with 22. He also won two district championships with the Blue Knights (2019, 2020).


Spencer Keihl (Scranton Prep) - Lebanon Valley College (NCAA Division 3 - MAC Commonwealth)

Keihl, a second team all star out of Prep, won a district championship with the Cavaliers back in 2017. After dealing with an injury this past season, he still managed to lead his team with goals scored.
